Why Design Sprints?

The Design Sprint is a process oriented at solving big product-related problems significantly faster. It’s no longer enough to have a good product, you need to have the right strategy to succeed. Design Sprints are the fastest way to find out if a product is worth developing, if a feature is worth the effort, or if your value proposition is really valid. Don’t invest months of time, invest a week.

How does a Design Sprint work?

The Design Sprint is a 1-week process. On Monday, we work at our Barcelona office in 22@ together with you to define the challenges, list possible solutions and organize the week.

On Tuesday we vote on best solutions and create a storyboard.
On Wednesday, we build a prototype that looks and feels like a real product. On Thursday, we test it with real users, no guesswork. On Friday, we prepare a report with clear insights on where to go next.

- Define the challenges.

- Produce a mass of solutions.

Clients in-house

- Curate and vote the best solutions.

- Define the prototype with a storyboard.

Clients in-house

- Build the prototype.

- Set up the user tests.

- Test the prototype with real users.

- Use feedback from testing to create clear next steps.

What is the exact outcome?

The outcome of every Design Sprint is a high-fidelity interactive prototype that feels like a real product and was tested by real users, and clear insights on where to go next.

What happens next?

After the Design Sprint, making decisions will be a lot easier. You’ll have a tangible representation of your product strategy in your hands and real user insights to guide your next steps. You could use a second sprint to iterate and polish the idea or we could use the prototype to work together on design and development.

Why Lateral View?

We started in 2008 as a company that was mainly focused on software development, then we incorporated user experience design and became a company that develops end-to-end products.

Later, we discovered the Design Sprint and specialized until we mastered it, allowing us to build better products, faster. We focus on Barcelona-based startups and companies who need help going through the process of digital transformation.
